It works

But if you have LVM , at step 3 you need :

#vgscan
( system vg should be discovered)
#vgchange -a y system
#mount /dev/system/root /mnt
#vi /mnt/etc/shadow

Also step 10 you need to mount /usr before to run passwd command
#mount /usr

Hi, I tried the steps above until step 9. I managed to login without passwd into my system.

Eventually, I got stuck when I type passwd. The system said that
bash: passwd: command not found

please be advise.
